The Queer Feminist Festival (QF²)is a celebration of the diverse community of activists in Vienna. Organized by the Villa Vida, the festival builds on the long tradition of celebrating and occupying space. The first QF² in 2021 energized the queer community and inspired many networks and similar events.
The QF² Festival takes place in Volkskundemuseum. Villa Vida is a café in the Turquoise Pink Purple Villa. The pink purple villa (better known to many as the “villa”) has been the foundation of the LGBTIQ community in Vienna for more than 39 years! Born in 1982 from a squatter movement, the house with its colorful pink and purple walls stands for a utopian alternative to all social norms, which include a wide range of self-help groups and services as well as collective.
The QF² Festival offers a variety of entertainment, workshops, performances, music and information. The event is free of charge for the public.
The Queer Feminist Festival is funded by Villa Vida.
