The Queer Feminist Festival (QF²)is a celebration of the diverse community of activists in Vienna. Organized by  the Villa Vida, the festival builds on the long tradition of celebrating and occupying space. After many months of lockdown, it is more important than ever to work together for a more just world.

The QF² Festival takes place on Spörlingasse in front of the Villa Vida. Villa Vida is a café in the Turquoise Pink Purple Villa. The pink purple villa (better known to many as the “villa”) has been the foundation of the LGBTIQ community in Vienna for more than 38 years! Born in 1982 from a squatter movement, the house with its colorful pink and purple walls stands for a utopian alternative to all social norms, which include a wide range of self-help groups and services as well as collective.

The QF² Festival offers a variety of entertainment, workshops, performances, music and information. The event is free of charge for the public. 2,5G COVID Rules will be enforced.

The Queer Feminist Festival is funded by the Türkis Rosa Lila Villa Tipp.

Even within the LGBTQIA+ community there are ways that femmes and feminine identities are devalued. We are coming  together to resist patriarchy in all of its forms and to celebrate the diversity of identities that we inhabit.

“True community is based on upon equality, mutuality, and reciprocity. It affirms the richness of individual diversity as well as the common human ties that bind us together.” – Pauli Murray
